Calabasas Road Water Line Replacement

The new pipeline has been installed and the project is in its final stages. Roadway paving and final cleanup will be done during the week of September 30.

All customers in the construction zone have now been connected to a temporary service line. Installation of the new (replacement) water line has commenced. LVMWD appreciates motorists driving with caution during the night-time construction hours.

A shutdown of water service is scheduled for Calabasas Road part of the Calabasas Road Water Line Replacement project in Calabasas on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 9:00 P.M. to Tuesday, July 30 at approximately 6:00 A.M.
The addresses that will be affected are:
- 23586 Calabasas Road
- 23536 Calabasas Road
- 23532 Calabasas Road

A shutdown of water service is scheduled for Calabasas Road part of this project in Calabasas on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 9:00 P.M. to Friday, July 19 at approximately 6:00 A.M. Water will not be available while crews work on the water main.
The addresses that will be affected are:

- 23801 Calabasas Road

Work on this project will begin on Sunday, July 14, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. During the first week, the contractor, Blois Construction will setup temporary, above-ground water lines to serve all the businesses while the work is in progress.
Construction is estimated to last about a month and a half.
Calabasas Road Pipeline Replacement (July – August 2013)
This project will facilitate permanent repairs on a 10-inch waterline along Calabasas Road between Park Granada and Commons Way.
The project zone is generally between the Valley Circle and Parkway Calabasas exits along U.S. 101.
To minimize disruption to traffic and area businesses, all work will be conducted through the night, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The project will use a process referred to as “slip lining” where a new flexible pipe is fed through an older, existing pipeline.
This method greatly reduces the amount of excavation needed as compared to a using more traditional slit-trench pipeline replacement technique.
