As a local water agency, the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District (LVMWD) is committed to water conservation as a California way of life. However, LVMWD is also committed to protecting the environment and community values of our service area. As a leader in the implementation of recycled water efforts, LVMWD has been providing recycled wastewater for irrigation since 1983. Each year, this program conserves nearly 6,000 acre feet of water, making use of a precious resource while also reducing the amount of water that we need to import each year.

Additionally, LVMWD has implemented innovative programs to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions with the use of a solar energy and onsite composting.  LVMWD is doing its part to conserve our local resources and we need your help to achieve greater water conservation.
