Las Virgenes Municipal Water District has partnered with TreePeople to offer a self-contained kit designed to make native landscape transformation accessible, affordable, and hassle-free.

By transforming traditional grass-dominated landscapes into native gardens, residents will reduce water usage, create habitat for wildlife and pollinators, and beautify the urban environment.

Program Details

During the month of December, TreePeople will offer six different themed kits for a reduced price of $100 per kit. The kits have been designed to thrive in any landscape, from full-sun to full-shade. On January 1, 2024, the kits will increase to the regular price of $120 per kit.

What’s Inside Your Kit

• 10, one-gallon native plants pre-designed for 10’x10,’ or any 100 square foot garden space
• A ‘plant-by-number’ site map
• A native plant installation guide and educational materials

Picking Up Your Kit

All kits will be available for pick up only in mid-February through early March. Exact dates and locations to be announced. We will host pick up events at various partner locations, including LVMWD's headquarters. Emails will be sent from nativegarden@treepeople.org in early February with links to sign up for a time to pick up your kit.
