HOW TO USE THE IRRIGATION ADJUSTMENT PERCENT NUMBER
Most irrigation controllers have a percentage adjustment feature. Adjust this setting to the irrigation percent number shown in the table below in the blue box. Due this at least once a week! If you do not know how:

Evapotranspiration (also known as ET) information is provided by the district to help you with irrigation scheduling. This information is gathered from the district weather stations located in the City of Westlake Village at the Las Virgenes Reservoir.
ET is a measure of the water needs of landscape. ET indicates the amount of water used by plants when they are well watered, and thus shows the quantity of water we need to return to the soil.
By adjusting irrigation cycles according to ET, you can assure that your plants are receiving sufficient water, without overwatering - for healthier plants and lower water costs
