As a drought response measure, the Las Virgenes – Triunfo Joint Powers Authority (JPA) is making FREE recycled water available to qualifying residential customers Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rancho Las Virgenes Composting Facility, 3700 Las Virgenes Rd (at the intersection of Lost Hills Road) in Calabasas. Note: This program is not available to commercial customers.
Recycled water can be used to maintain trees, shrubs, decorative or vegetable gardens and lawn areas. It may not be used for drinking or for recreation, such as pools or spas. See recycled water FAQs.
Upon completion of the required Recycled Water Fill Station training and paperwork, each participant will be issued an "approved user" ID card. This card MUST be presented each time recycled water is picked up at the Fill Station.
Participants must also bring their own sealable container(s). "Recycled water" labels will be provided for the container(s). Up to 300 gallons of water may be picked up on a single visit. Drivers should be mindful of their vehicle capacity as each gallon of water weighs more than eight pounds. No tanker trucks allowed.
The Recycled Water Fill Station training is FREE, and participants need only attend ONE training session. Training is available at the Rancho Las Virgenes Composting Facility at 9 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month.
